Autumn Sharp is an experienced commercial litigator with a practice focusing on advising clients with their business-related needs in an effort to avoid litigation where possible, but to succeed when litigation is necessary. She has substantial experience in trials, arbitrations, evidentiary hearings, and mediation, resulting in favorable results for clients, including seven-figure verdicts.
In her more than a decade of practice, Autumn has represented companies in several substantive areas of complex commercial litigation, including products liability cases, franchise law issues, securities litigation, trade secrets, and consumer fraud claims. Autumn’s practice has recently focused on the representation of banks and title companies in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy counseling and litigation, advising and counseling companies regarding employment law matters, and representing companies and lenders in mechanics’ lien cases and title insurance defense matters. Autumn’s client representation includes Fortune 500 companies, spanning insurance companies and banks with a national presence to single member LLCs and closely-held corporations.
Autumn is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Autumn was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars from 2011-2013.
Autumn is a member of the board of directors of Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth, a Chicago-area program that works to promote one-on-one mentoring and tutoring in disadvantaged communities by awarding annual grants to local programs, recruiting volunteers from the legal profession, providing professional development and other capacity building assistance to partner mentoring programs, and hosting its own tutoring/mentoring program in partnership with the Montessori School of Englewood. Autumn also serves as Chair of the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth Programming Committee.
