Ms. Stochel focuses her practice in commercial and banking litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, municipal liability, and corporate disputes. Ms. Stochel’s experience includes appellate practice, bankruptcy adversary actions, governmental immunity, commercial real estate foreclosure and collection proceedings, contract disputes, and business tort litigation.
While in law school, Ms. Stochel clerked for Magistrate Judge Andrew Rodovich and Judge Philip P. Simon in the federal district court of the Northern District of Indiana. Prior to joining Lowis & Gellen, LLP, she worked as an Export Compliance Manager for Black River Technology, Inc. located in Downers Grove, IL, where she has experience navigating licensing regimes under the United States Department of Commerce, State Department, Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
