FOCUS

Pat Moran, a partner at Lowis & Gellen, concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment-related litigation and civil rights/municipal liability litigation. He has significant experience with claims involving employment discrimination and retaliation, wrongful termination, trade secrets, non-competition agreements and restrictive covenants. He also regularly handles municipal liability claims as well as constitutional tort claims involving excessive force, false arrest and malicious prosecution. Outside the courtroom, he advises clients on the formation of employment contracts, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements and trade secret agreements.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Pat belongs to the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, and is one of the firm’s delegates to the British American Business Council. He is also an investigator for the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee, and each year he serves as a mock trial judge for the trial advocacy program at the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

EDUCATION

Pat received his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
