FOCUS
Kevin J. Clancy is a senior associate with over ten years
of litigation experience. His experience includes defense
of insurance carriers in nation wide class action and insurance
coverage matters, construction litigation, breach of contract
matters, securities litigation, restrictive covenants, breach
of stock or asset purchase agreements and employment matters.
Kevin has successfully represented real estate developers,
owners and general contractors in substantial construction
litigation, as well as other commercial and contractual disputes.
Recently, he represented a general contractor in a five-day
arbitration against a subcontractor relating to the construction
of a 45-unit condominium building. Kevin has drafted numerous
briefs for various appellate courts throughout the U.S. and
has argued before these courts as well. Kevin joined us after
having practiced at two of the largest law firms in the U.S.
Immediately upon graduation from law school, Kevin clerked
for a judge on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
EDUCATION
Mr. Clancy graduated magna cum laude from the University
of Illinois College of Law in 1993. He also graduated Phi
Beta Kappa from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in
Economics in 1990. After graduating from law school, Mr. Clancy
served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harlington Wood, Jr.
on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
