FOCUS

Kristin A. Ahmadian concentrates her practice in the area of Medical Malpractice Defense, representing physicians, nurses, and hospitals in complex litigation. Throughout her career, Ms. Ahmadian has litigated claims on behalf of area hospitals, nursing homes, and physician groups, including obstetrical cases involving fetal death and disabled minors.

Ms. Ahmadian has also been an invited speaker regarding pre-claim investigations and compliance with state and federal law on translation services in medical practices. She has also assisted hospital clients in analyzing electronic medical records and data mapping.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Ms. Ahmadian is a member of the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Ahmadian interned at the American Medical Association’s Council on Ethics and Judicial Affairs and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. addressing the legal and ethical implications of the practice of medicine.

EDUCATION

Ms. Ahmadian received her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in 2004. There she was a staff editor of the John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law, and was a member of the August A. Rendigs Jr. National Products Liability Moot Court Team. Her distinctions include Phi Beta Kappa and an externship with the Honorable William J. Hibbler of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. She also received a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications from Hope College in 2001.

ADMISSIONS

Ms. Ahmadian was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in May of 2004.
